Extensive renovation gives new life to a family-owned property of personal significance
After conducting a preliminary feasibility study, our client wanted to maintain the existing buildings on two adjacent properties.
The extensive project focused on the existing three-story office building, reworking it from the foundations up, and opening the facades with new curtain wall glazing to bring light and air into open floor plates leasable to creative office tenants.
The corner lot one-story building was renovated lightly to expose elements of historic character and create and accessible connection to a new landscaped courtyard amenity. All building systems were upgraded to provide efficient future operation and services for contemporary office tenants.
The team for the renovation of the two buildings provided MEP engineering, structural engineering, civil engineering, and landscape design. SCAAA provided project management including lot line adjustment, permitting, bidding and the selection of key vendors.
